Do you have a mouse in your pocket???

So we all know where this saying comes from right? It’s when someone uses the word “we” when they really mean “I”, like when your spouse or significant other says “I’ve got a great idea, we should get up at 4 a.m. the day after Thanksgiving and go stand in ridiculously long lines at stores in the mall so we can get $10 off all the stuff we don’t need”, and your obvious reply is “What, do you have a mouse in your pocket?”
Well, in a young lady’s case in Manhattan (we’ll call her “Minny”), this phrase took on a different meaning entirely. Recently “Minny” bought two new dresses from a retailer in Connecticut and eventually wore one of the dresses to work a couple weeks later. She was feeling good about her fashion choice for the day but as the day went on, she noticed a “disturbingly pungent odor” coming from it. She walked around and couldn’t seem to escape it and then felt something brush against her leg as she scampered about her workplace. As she lifted the seam of her dress to inspect, needless to say she was shocked to see a deceased mouse sewn into the hem of her dress! I’m no seamstress, but ladies and gentlemen that seems as though it would be hard for that to be an accident?!
As you might expect, the retailer’s general liability policy is about to be put to the test as “Minny” has filed a suit for bodily injury, including mental and emotional distress, as a result of this unfortunate “accident”. No word from the next of kin of the deceased as to their plans to file charges.
